At this year’s Matric Gala Awards, Inge Dippenaar – Curro Durbanville valedictorian – delivered a remarkable speech reminding us that life is about more than metrics and perfection. She spoke of finding strength in community; accepting growth with patience; celebrating effort, not just results – and how important it is to not compare your life’s journey with that of others. Matric teddy to join the journey
Every Matric class in Curro receives a special teddy to share the year with them – a celebration of the journey leading up to their final schooling moments. Their teddy joins them in class, on excursions, fun weekends away, and even engages in social media challenges. Some even have their own Instagram page!
