Curro Academy Soshanguve Matric 2022
20 October 2022Matric is an important and often stressful year, with a lot of decisions to make and a lot of studying to do in a short time. However, it’s also a time for you to make memories that will last forever.
Have a look below!
Let’s hear it from your head girl and boy
Head girl: Rorisang Davhana
I have been privileged to be afforded the opportunity to be part of the exceptional Curro family of schools. Without a doubt Curro Academy Soshanguve provides a friendly, safe environment that is conducive for teaching and learning. This school has a cohort of the greatest, most dedicated teachers I’ve ever encountered who are also parents to us. They are very observant and assist learners where they can with school-related and personal matters. Though I had doubts about my capabilities, teachers believed that I would be a suitable candidate to be part of the leaders in the school. Their faith in me encouraged me to keep going.
Being head girl taught me how to manage my time efficiently as more responsibilities are added to the list. I have learnt to listen and sympathise with others. Though this role came with challenges, I highly appreciate the opportunity. As someone who joined the school in Grade 10, I felt welcomed and cared for and was taught how to always keep professional, which will be very beneficial in my future career. My advice to future leaders and followers is to keep going; with God all things are possible.
Head boy: Keitumetse George Rankwane
I have been with Curro Academy Soshanguve since 2017 and was selected as a prefect the very same year. I have learnt and developed leadership skills throughout the period of being a prefect and the experiences that I have had at this school have been educating and entertaining. I can say that getting the opportunity to attend this school and become part of the family is a blessing, and I do not regret a single moment.
At Curro Academy Soshanguve, I have learnt the importance of hard work, time management, goals, dreams and commitment. I have learnt and realised that the future I am building isn’t anyone else’s but mine and that if I am not the one putting in the effort and hard work, nobody will. Curro has gifted me with education, responsibility, determination, leadership and collaboration skills. I can never ask for a better package than this. Curro has made a permanent mark on my life. I highly appreciate the opportunities that Curro Academy Soshanguve has given me.
