The Ruta Sechaba Foundation was established in 2016 to provide scholarships, bursaries and awards to qualifying learners at Curro or Curro-managed schools. The purpose of the Ruta Sechaba Foundation is to provide, inter alia, monitored financial support for educational purposes. Capitec Bank has more than 9.2 million clients and close to 14 000 employees. The bank is a donor to the Ruta Sechaba Foundation.
Curro schools offer bursaries allocated at the discretion of the school’s executive head.

About the Ruta Sechaba Foundation
The Ruta Sechaba Foundation was established in 2016 with the PSG Group BEE Education Trust as the initial donor. The PSG Group BEE Education Trust was founded by the PSG Group in 2006 with the aim of providing monitored financial support for education purposes to Black South African citizens. The PSG Group BEE Education Trust identified the Ruta Sechaba Foundation, along with Curro as its key partner in education, to assist in achieving this objective.
